Us Morgans Lately

We've had a fun, non-stressful weekend... and I liked it. It was one of the few weekends we weren't traveling or didn't have a ton of stuff planned. It was nice!

Friday night we went to the local high school games. It was homecoming. It's always amusing to me how different each school does Homecoming.  And I will forever think my school did it best... I'm bias.
I think we are pretty cute! :) I like us.

After, we hosted 5th Quarter for the youths.  It was a great night... I'm probably gonna blog about it later in more detail. It was good stuff.

Today was a fun day. Jacob preached in the morning service. Love hearing my man speak about what God's been teaching him. You can't get any better than listening to the hubs talk about how much he loves the Lord and desires to follow Him... however crazy we may look. Yes. So thankful that I get to do life with him.  I am also planning to blog about marriage... so get pumped! :) it's one of my favorite things.

This just in - Grant has arrived!!! He has been birthed by his precious momma Lindsey Jo.
We are Uncles again! haha! Lindsey Jo was the first of my besties to get pregnant and I was so frazzled and excited when she told us she was preggers, instead of saying I can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl, I said I can't wait to find out if we'll be Aunts or Uncles! Oh bother... but either way he and his bro Isaac Henry are the cutest little lads around!

Jacob and I had a photo shoot with our pups! Look at how cute they are!

I'm telling ya... they have brought more entertainment to our family than any TV show, video game, or movie could have. They are hysterical... and a tad bit dumb. And yes... they did dig that LOVELY & HUGE hole in our backyard. Impressive, huh?

And lastly... I am finally ready to start decorating Eric's room. This is a huge deal. I am usually SUPER impatient with everything in life... but I know me, and I knew if I decorated his room months ago it would have made me even more anxious, worried, and stressed about him not being here. Now is the time. I know he will be here soon and I am ready to get his room done.... designed just for him. The first decorations:

Simple... but profound. And... I bought a Black Opps II poster (it's a video game) at Eric's request at Walmart yesterday to add to the decor. I know... beautification at it's finest.

More than ever I'm ready to get him home... not just for my heart but for Eric's even more.  He is worried we won't come. He's fearful that his case worker one day is just going to say, "They aren't coming for you." It breaks my heart. I wish I could erase any doubt, but I can't. He has waited, been let down, and been hurt before... and I just pray and hope he sees and knows this is different... this is forever.

He's had to go to the doctor for a few things lately and I wish more than anything I could have gone with him... to sit in the waiting room with him, to go to the back with him like other mothers do, and take him for ice cream after the visit was done. But I couldn't.  He does his homework and studies for tests... I wish we could be there to quiz him on his Social Studies and his Math II questions. I wish we could take him for pizza or buy him a CD after he aces the tests. I know it will come... but I just want his heart to believe and know we ARE coming! NOTHING... NOTHING... could keep us from going to get him.

On a happy note... here are some things we learned lately:
He wants Walter to run with him while he rides his bike... that should be interesting.
He has asked for v-neck tees, a pair of skinny jeans, and Crocs... what a man!
He loves the old school Michael Jordan sandals and high top tennis shoes.
He loves Jolly Ranchers (Grape), Snickers, Hershey kisses, and Twix bars.
His friends are all happy for him... but I'm sure they are going to miss him.
His dance group (yes... DANCE group) is performing to "Moves like Jagger" and "Treasure" - LOVE IT!
He is tired of eating beans and bread.
He has never had his own birthday party - oh... THAT WILL CHANGE!
He has only eaten ice cream once!
He loves music.

Love getting to know our Eric. Seriously... cannot wait until he is home! What a glorious day that will be!

Learning and Living...

Hi there!

Happy Wednesday!  So... I've been learning a LOT lately! I haven't been able to figure out how to say it all yet... but I am surely learning.  I guess when you stop throwing pity parties for yourself and start asking God to make your teachable... He does it. Not to say that I don't get sad or just miss my kiddos that live miles away... I'm just trying to learn through the tears and the thrills instead of dwelling in discouragement.

Anywho... check out what we've been doing...

I love taking pictures that the Bible study girls can look back on and see where God has brought them. So... for the last Bible study of the year... I took pictures of the girls with a verse that they could cling to no matter what the future, or the past, held! Aren't they cool?

Then... we graduated off some really great people...

And had a really great service to celebrate them...

I'm excited about our next group of seniors movin' on up! They are awesome too! Can't wait to eat lunch with EACH one of the girls this summer... that's my goal!

Just a reminder... our dogs are ridiculous... Jubi is lounging... on a table... she's weird. She's gotten on the patio table and just laid there everyday this week... strange!

This is how they greet us.  Yes... the black blob at the bottom is Jubi.

For Memorial Day weekend we got to spend time at the beach with Ashley and Jared.... it was fabulous!!! Love spending time with them... and JOHANNA!!!!

Life is good. It's good to be taught. It's good to live and learn... to enjoy the moments in the waiting.  To be thankful for the here and now and excited about the future.

Hellur Again...

I've been slackin'... O well. Lots going on so blogging just hasn't happened.

I just can't wait until I can blog and post pictures of our kiddos... I think I've just been boycotting in hopes that NOW would be the time... but we shall wait some more.

So lately...
Here's my super cute family on Easter! :) Poor dogs... you can't even see Jubi's face because she's so black... and Walt obviously did not want a picture... but life's hard! We had a good Easter- church, lunch with the Knick's, and time at home. Thankful for Jesus.

Check out how awesome my hunny is!!!
He made us an end table (we are selling them for adoption money too if you are interested - $75)! It looks great in the house! And he framed my Africa poster that I got at a market in Kenya!! It's been rolled up and in a secure location for 3.5 years... it was time to give the thing it's rightful place! I LOVE IT!!!! I... well Jacob... hung up the other pictures with it too - it's now the mission trip wall/room. I FINALLY feel like it's okay to start thinking about decorating the kiddos rooms. THAT'S A BIG DEAL!! I have prayed that God would not let me start thinking about that stuff until it was the right time. I'm thinking about it... and we are having to move around lots of stuff to get ready for their arrival!  The Africa pictures and college collages are having to find new homes... but that's COMPLETELY fine because we'll have our kiddos and all will be right with the world!
**On that note... we are now just waiting for Belize to send us PICTURES and medical information and... TRAVEL DATES!!!**
That could be this week, this month.... or way later.

I've had more Origami Owl jewelry parties! I love that job - it's super fun! You meet new people, learn their stories, and sell really awesome and unique jewelry!
Look how cute and presh this necklace is???!!!!

O... the pups. Ya know... since my human kiddos aren't here yet, I'll just show you the furry kiddos. They are nuts! Seriously... NuTz! They are fun though.
Jubi sheds like a man woman, likes to bark at Walter, hides under the couch and gets stuck in the couch cover and yelps until someone rescues her, and SHE POOPED IN THE FLOOR THIS MORNING... almost killed her. Good thing she's cute.

This weekend we went up to Birmingham... it was a whirlwind of a weekend! I got to do everything I set out to do... but it was crazy busy! I had breakfast with my Nanny and Pawpaw, had an Origami Owl party, went to see my cloggers at their competition, went to an adoption fundraiser my awesome youth pastor's wife held for us, dinner for the birthday week boy, and then back to the competition for awards!!!!! I got to do it all with my mom so that made it even better! It was wonderful. And my girls are so stinkin' cute! They did awesome!

Sunday morning I got to eat with my dad, brother, sister-in-law, niece - Ava, and nephew - Barrett! It was so good to spend time with them... it doesn't get to happen very often!
It's also my Ava, Barrett, and my brother's b-day! So... naturally... Cracker Barrel brought out birthday cake for her breakfast treat! :)
This 4 year old is just adorable!

Wait for the Lord,
Be strong and take heart
and WAIT for the Lord.

#toosnow #toofun #toofroze

Oh life... it's so crazy and fun. I like it a lot. Sometime I get a little overwhelmed because I seemed to have lost the pause button on my life remote... but it's just a good life.

Before I start with the explosion of pictures... THE DOSSIER (last set of paperwork for adoption) IS ON ITS WAY TO BELIZE!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!! Now we get to wait on that to be process and for the profiles for our boys to be sent to us!! THAT MEANS PICTURES!! HALLELUJAH!!!

We just got back from a ski retreat with our youth! We went to Banner Elk, NC and skied at Ski Beech! It was amazing... and SO SO SO COLD! We were in the Presidents' Day Winter Storm. Fun, huh? Yea... I don't drive in that... freaked me out for sure! haha! Anywho... I know you want to see pics... so here you are:

It was super cold... I mean I have never been outside for an extended period of time in that coldness before. My face panicked at the frozen wind... and I had to buy this legit ski face mask so I wouldn't die! I look cool, don't I?
Here's our group. I know... no one has faces... it was cold I tell ya!
But we are cute and we had a blast! On Sunday... it was seriously 2 (TWO) DEGREES at the bottom of the mountain... that's cold right there!
Here's the view from the top of the mountain. BEAUTIFUL!
All the slopes were open. There was real snow (because we were in a winter storm). It was fabulous.
Me and the hubs. Aren't we cute? haha! I love ski/snow pictures!
The kiddos... pumped for skiing! Aren't that adorable? I love them!
Stephanie, Hunter, me, and Jacob
SO SO THANKFUL for these 2 people! I love them dearly. I get teary-eyed thinking about how awesome they are... so I'm gonna stop. We love y'all!
Me and Steph hitting the slopes. This picture is so funny!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these girls!

My poor car was NOT used to this. Thankful Hunter wanted to/could drive in that icy-ness while we were there!

AND...
Please give a warm welcome to JUBILEE MORGAN!!! The newest member of the Morgan family! You can call her Jubi if you want!
Ya know... we thought since we were getting two kiddos.. we needed to train with 2 doggies!!!
She's precious!!! Walter met her last night! He just wants her to play!!!! I think he'll like her... but he doesn't understand why she just lays there...

AND Last but not least... we did a Harlem Shake video with the youth last night... HILARIOUS!!!!!
I think it's so good to shout to the world that Jesus is fun! He is exciting and Christians live exciting lives!!!! The youth loved it! Laughing... craziness... funny costumes... togetherness!!! Good stuff!!! CHECK IT OUT:
